Freestyle/Greco Session Update: Practice starts April 3rd, not April 10th.
Congrats to MoWest State Team! Best State Tourney to Date for MoWest! MoWest had 2 champs, 3 silver, 3 3rd, 1 4th, 1 5th, and 3 6th. And a top 5 team finish, i believe (results not all in yet). Great year and congrats to all the wrestlers.

Practice Days and times have changed. New practice day and times are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7-830pm at Blue Springs South wrestling room.

Fan Gear order forms are out and being distributed at practice. Singlet order forms are out and being distributed at practice. Both forms will be on website as well.

FOLKSTYLE SEASON 2011-2012

Folkstyle is approaching fast. We are finalizing our workout location. It looks as if we will be either at Blue Springs South High School wrestling room or the Blue Springs High School wrestling room. We should know by the end of this week.
Practice will start November 1st at 6:30pm. Practices will be Tuesday and Thursdays from 630pm-830pm.
Fees will be $250 for the season. This includes under armour shirt and under armour shorts. Additional uniform packages will be available as well as the introduction of the MoWest two piece singlet.
MoWest will be accepting the first 40 kids that sign up.
Sign ups will be at the first practice from 630pm-830pm.
Competition Schedule will be out soon.

FREESTYLE AND GRECO-ROMAN TRAINING SESSION

With the Folkstyle season coming to an end, MoWest is gearing up for Freestyle and Greco-Roman. MoWest will accept 40 kids for its freestyle/greco-roman session this spring/summer. Some of the highlight tournaments will be the Missouri State Freestyle and Greco-Roman Championships, Southern Plains Regional Championships, and Kids Freestyle and Greco-Roman National Championships. We are training with a purpose! MoWest offers the premier high school and youth freestyle and greco-roman training in the state of Missouri. Please check under our the sessions tab at the top and click on spring/summer tab for additional information. Summer wrestlers make winter champions!
MoWest will offer a training camp for anyone who will be wrestling at the USA Kids Freestyle and Greco-Roman National Championships. This will be a 3 day camp beginning on Thursday, June 24th and conclude on Saturday, June 26th. There will be three workouts a day, morning session will focus on greco-roman, afternoon practice will focus on freestyle, and the evening session will be a live session with a combination of greco-roman and freestyle. Cost is free to MoWest Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers. Cost is $100 per wrestler for all other wrestlers. Only 40 wrestlers will be accepted. FOLKSTYLE ACADEMY

Starting April 6th, MoWest will kick off its off-season folkstyle training session. Limited to 30 students, MoWest will continue to teach our style of wrestling from all three areas of wrestling. If you are worried about work-out partners, we recommend you sign up with a partner your size and skill level. Click on the Academy tab at the top of the home page for additional information.
